A vampire finishing school admitting a Damphir (half human half vampire) for the first time, a boy from Ireland finding out he's said Damphir, and a group of elite all powerful vampiires that gives serious gossip girl vibes what could go wrong.....

This book brings highs and lows of epic proportions and is the perfect conbination of traditiional vampire folklore and imagination while throwing in just enough modern day reality to have your head spinning, in a very good way.

Our cast of characters is the ideal example of found family, Dillon is away from his father for the first time, not knowing who his mother is and feeling so alone he finds himself thrown into this group that will end up being his downfall and his salvation.

With a constant theme of helping each other Dillon finds himself in the middle of more than one mystery.

While I thought I knew who his mother was going to turn out to be I was shocked by that last couple of pages and I love a book that can shock me, espcially when it's a major plot point.

I really enjoyed this book and felt like I was just getting to really know our characters when it ended, I'm hoping there will be many more installments to come so that we get everyones story and find out what happens when Dillon goes back to Vamps.
