My Story

My love of books.

I've loved reading since I was in my freshman year of high school, I had a chance encounter with a teacher that would change how I looked at books for  the rest of my life.

Fast forward to Senior year and Mrs. G was my English teacher and the love affair with books truly began.

She taught me that books were more than something to just read, they're an outlet, an escape, and proof that you're not alone.

There's a book out there for almost any situation and I love finding them and reading them over and over at different points in my life, a different part of your life can give you a completely different feel from a book.

Back in 2004 I had an ascending aortic dissection and it changed my life, there I was at 29 with no idea what life held for me or even if I'd make it from one day to the next, but here I am over a decade later and my love of reading has grown with every one of those years.

The ability to escape reality into a world filled with love and magic and happily ever afters has gotten me through more hard days that I can list, so I'll just share my thoughts on the books I read, the good and the bad these are my honest thoughts about books that "spoke" to me.
