Star Bringer

When I first heard The Breakfast Club meets Firefly I thought how on earth would that work, and now I know.
We see everything from an assassination attempt, the potential for the ultimate betrayal, a cliffhanger that had me staring at my Kindle angrily wishing I had just one more chapter and then some.
Now after reading the Crave series, I know Tracy Wolff loves a cliffhanger but she and her counterpart Nina Croft have taken it to a new level, not only is it completely unexpected it's something that ties so much together while being something that was seamlessly added in the last few pages.
This book made me think about relationships, how hard it can be to get along with the people around you, how much pressure you can be under to please your parents, or even how love or something like it can send you to the stars.
I can't wait to see what happens next for our rag-tag group of space travelers, I'm deliberately not saying a lot about the story, I think it's more fun than just reading people's reactions.
I do have to say that the first 3/4 of the book went a little long for me, I wish we had gotten to a couple of the reveals earlier than we did but that's my issue, I like knowing what's going on from the very beginning and just going with it.
This is a solid 4.5-star book for me but I'll be rounding it up for review purposes. Thank you to Red Tower Books for providing an advance copy of this ebook, I have voluntarily read and reviewed it and all thoughts and opinions are my own.
