Let me start with a trigger warning, this one does have some animal and reptile death, I had been warned beforehand by a fellow reviewer and I'm glad I was.

I will say I've become a fan of fairytale retellings lately and I was ecstatic to see this book show up.

Now on to the good stuff, the steamy stuff, the stuff that makes me want to read anything and everything that Scarlett St. Clair writes.

This book is exactly what I think of when I think of adult fairy tales, there are princes, witches, fairies, and magic and it is in my mind perfection.

While this is a shorter book it's packed full of fantastic worldbuilding, complex characters, a dual point of view that lends to the overall story, and an enemies-to-lovers storyline that will fog up any magic mirrors in the vicinity.

With moments that made me think of so many of my favorite fairy tales, this one had me glued to it from the first page.

One last thing on this one, the cover art is absolutely stunning and there is a map inside that helps so much with the locations in the book.

Thank you to Sourcebooks and NetGalley for providing an advance copy of this E-Book. I have voluntarily read and reviewed it and all thoughts and opinions are my own.
