Health update and taking a break...

So it's been a bit since I've posted an update and I thought it was time.

As always if you're uncomfortable with talk of female reproductive health topics please skip this post.

First, let me say thank you for all the well wishes and messages, they've meant so very much to me.

Now for the update, I had the first of a few procedures today, unfortunately, it didn't go as planned, without going into too much detail there was more going on than the Dr had anticipated and it ended up with only getting a part of what needed to be removed.

He was able to get enough tissue from the cervix to send for pathology to take a look at and I should have those results back in about two weeks. However, it was insanely painful, and at one point he said we're just going to do this in the OR I'm not going to torture you.

So I'll be having another surgical procedure the first week of December, the plan may change depending on the pathology reports but for now, that's where we're at.

I still have a lot of testing to have done and have to get clearance for the surgical procedure from my Cardiologist, lab work, etc, so there's a lot that will be going on in the next few weeks on top of my regular medical appointments and treatment schedule.

On that note I'm going to be taking another break, I'll still be reading, writing, and posting reviews, I'll just be doing it more sporadically as my physical and mental health allow and it will be a more scaled-down version of what I normally do.

Again ladies, don't skip those yearly exams, I wish I'd paid more attention to the signs my body was giving me, and I wish I'd been more consistent with my routine screenings but hindsight is always 20/20.

Wishing all of you a happy healthy five-star book-filled November.

~Ann.
