Where to start with this one... Hello seem appropriate so I'll go with that for this one.

Joe Goldberg is at it again, love, death, deception, his ability to plot every conversation and situation out in his head only to have it go badly in reality (which I love by the way) all of it, the only thing missing was... well I'm not going there I don't do spoilers in a review but let me say there was one "character" that was missing and I felt it in.

Arriving at Harvard with a set schedule a new group of "peers" and the potential to fall in love, those are all good things for Joe, meeting Wonder, Sly, Gregg and the others I'm not so sure about that.

Joe as an author fascinates me, how does he tell his story without having to face the consequences, how will he handle the pressures of writing, friends, frenemies, and people that make their way onto his radar, I had soo many questions as I started this book, and thankfully I got some great answers.

Now I won't say I'm happy with where this one ended, I'm just going to say it, there are a couple of characters that are still breathing that well... they shouldn't be at least in my opinion but maybe that just gives me something to look forward to in the next book? Joe seems to have put down roots so maybe he's settling in and book five will pick up here.

While I love these books, they are dark and spicy and soo good to drown away the real world in, this one is missing something, maybe it's that "character" I mentioned before, maybe it's too many characters, or maybe it's just so many people finding out so much about Joe but this one just missed the mark for me.

If I could give this one 3.5 stars I would, I just can't go to four, there's no cage, I mean ok there's a metaphorical cage but Joe needs to have someone in a cage to be Joe...

Thank you to Random House and NetGalley for providing a copy of this E-book, I have voluntarily read and reviewed it and all thoughts and opinions are my own.
