I will fully admit this had been sitting on my TBR shelf for.... well a while, and I fully intended to get to it at some point ( we all plan on reading all the books at some point) getting book two in this series from NetGalley really pushed my hand and I couldn't be happier to already have book two waiting for me.
Now that being said I have to wonder what took me so long, this book is wonderful, it opens your eyes and breaks your heart then expects you to put all the puzzle pieces together before the executioner's axe falls.
Tris, Sophie, and Daph are triplets that have been raised to take over the world, no really that's what they were born to do, their mother Margaraux has made sure that they're prepared for it too with lessons in everything from lock picking to poisons, to seduction.
What Margaraux didn't plan on was her daughters having a sense of right and wrong versus just following the path that's been put in front of them.
With three worlds that are as different as the sisters keeping track of who's good, who's evil, and who is trying to kill who keeps you on your toes and makes you wonder how on earth the sisters, their friends, or the people they betray will make it out, and here's a tiny spoiler, one of them doesn't.
Just in case it wasn't clearly stated, I love this book, I love everything about it, it totally broke my reading slump and got me excited to read the next one which is what I'll be doing for the next couple days.
