Bitten by Time

First let me say I tend to devour books with any mention of Dracula, or Vampires, or well anything in that genre, what can I say I love a good paranormal story that has at least one foot in the door of reality.
Bitten in Time has a premise I hadn't read before, imagine, being in a foreign country, taking the trip of your dreams, and experiencing the world your hero lived in just a few hundred years apart, now here's the interesting part, what if you have a book, with say incantations, and then you find a pendant, and then a stone, and well then you find yourself in the 15th century.
That is just where Petra finds herself, I can't even begin to imagine going from life in the modern world to that but somehow she does it.
I loved the premise of this book, the story, the time travel, and the integration of fact with fiction, past and present, there was so much I couldn't wait to sink my teeth into (pun intended).
Lastly let me just mention that cover art, it is hauntingly beautiful, I try not to judge a book by its cover but this one does call to me.
All of that being said, this book is a 3.5 star for me but I'll be rounding up to 4.0 for review purposes.
I wanted to love it, the story is there, and it's original and well thought out it's just missing something, but maybe these things are intentional and will be addressed in the second book. If so I'll update my review at that point.
I will be reading the second book in the series and am curious about when and where everyone will end up.
I want to thank the author Lara Bronson for providing a copy of this e-book, I have voluntarily read and reviewed it and all thoughts and opinions are my own.
